Thesna Aston. she's an author, activist,  life coach, loving mother, and devoted wife. She's a critical race theory practitioner, she believes in the inherent good of people and you'll always find her motivating someone whether it's on social media or waiting in line.

Thesna started her business because quite frankly she was tired of the exploitation of working for someone else. She articulated "People deserve to be treated as more than just a number."
She is giving people who just started their own business the to research which fields they intend to enter. "Study your competitors, but also learn from them. Take what they are doing and twist it to make it your own." she summed up.
Thesna deals with fear and doubts remarkably. She prays and speaks to her family who give her great support.

She has daily routines she follows each day. She prays each morning and gives thanks because so many people are suffering out there,  "I pray for them too. Then, depending on what I have to do, I put down my head and just do it." she added.
Thesna has a vision in five years to ten as a writer whose book is on the New York Bestseller list and having a platform where writers and poets can showcase their work while being paid to do so.

Thesna's business looks different currently compared to when she first started, she stumbled on it because there was a desire to be independent. She has gone through trusting partners too much and burnt her fingers, but she has come out stronger. She no longer mixes business with pleasure.
Thesna set the business apart from others in her industry. She tries her utmost to do the best she's capable of doing. She believes in service because whether someone spends R1000.00 or R1.00 with her, they all need service. "It's very lacking in this country," she added.
Thesna marketed her business when it was brand new by word of mouth and social media. She never had the money to advertise so growth was slow but it worked out fine.
She lets out that the hardest part of being an entrepreneur is motivating yourself and getting others to believe in your dreams.

Thesna's favorite part of being an entrepreneur is interacting with people and getting to know them.
She believes qualities every entrepreneur should possess are the belief in themselves and their product. "You need staying power because entrepreneurship can be a lonely road." she summed up.
She has grown personally from becoming an entrepreneur she has had to take free business courses, learn about taxes and constantly try to improve where she can.

Thesna speaks out about her biggest learning experience in running a business: Trust; She has had her fingers burnt and suffered heavy financial losses but she understands why it had to happen. Growth is sometimes painful and she has grown since then.
She is not looking for people with experience or degrees when outsourcing hiring, because she has discovered that there is a wealth of natural talent hidden in people who maybe could not afford to further their studies. She looks for self-driven individuals who have the potential to change their world.
Thesna will never compromise Principles with her business, she will not compromise her principles or beliefs that Black and Brown's people are more than what is portrayed in society. She would turn away from a deal that says she has to harm someone to get it. "You can't build your happiness on someone else unhappiness," she concluded.
